Leonard V. Cook, 58, of Danville Route 4, south of Union Corner, died at 4:10 a.m. today (Oct. 24, 1966) in St. Elizabeth Hospital two hours after being admitted. He had resided on Route 4 for seven years and was a life resident of the area. He was employed at Kickapoo State Park and had worked Friday. Born Feb. 21, 1908, in Georgetown, he was a son of George W. and Rosie Mae Johnson Cook. He was married Aug. 24, 1948, in Rockville, Ind., to Dorothy Drake who survives. Also surviving are two sons, George 11, and David, 8; three daughters, Goldie Mae, 16, Sarah, 13, and Lisa, seven months; five brothers, Harvey of Danville, Herschel of Danville Route 4, Robert of Georgetown, Herman of Scottland, Ill., and Harlan of Cayuga, Ind. Also, three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Cole of Perrysville, Ind., Mrs. Ellen Harper and Mrs. Irene Collom both of Ridgefarm. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pleasant Mound Cemetery west of Georgetown. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
